My entry for Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge with the topic of “Small Subjects.”

Baby Bird

Mum and Dad on the fence beside us, making sure we didn’t get too close.

Doing what all lizards seem to do. Bask and taking in the sun.

Our resident mouse on the bird feeders.

  1. Delightful photos, Alan. The ones of the mice remind me of how my dad had a webcam focused on the bird table. It was rigged up to his t.v. so he could watch the action, and there was a little mouse used to come to share the spoils. It would climb up the pole to the table and, when it was finished feeding, it would take a giant (for it anyway) leap to the ground below.

    1. Gerald, for that was his name, had similar habits in that he would jump from a branch onto the feeder. Sometime he would miss and drop to the ground. Undeterred he would start back up again and finally make it.

  2. Aww, bless his little soul! Gerald … that’s great, lol. It reminds me of one of my favourite Stephen King novels – ‘Gerald’s Game’. 😀 My dad’s mouse was called Jimmy, a favourite Glaswegian name!
